Resilient Technologies is breaking new ground with a  patent-pending non-pneumatic (airless) tire. Development and testing is currently underway. The initial focus is on U.S. military applications, where tire deflation caused by rough terrain or bullet fire could place military personnel in immediate danger. 

Unique aspects of the tire include a honeycomb design constructed with polymer. Depending on the application and load parameters, rigid or flexible forms of polymer could be utilized. The tire is also designed to maintain high speeds even if a portion is damaged.

Resilient Technologies also intends to review commercial applications for its non-pneumatic tire. Businesses with off-road vehicles -- in sectors such as construction, mining and agriculture -- would directly benefit.
